Oh how I’m missing the days where my students co Oh how I’m missing the days where my students could walk around the classroom going on a task card scavenger hunt with clipboards and seeing the smiles on their faces while they have fun learning next to their peers.

Although I definitely have to say that I am very grateful for having digital resources and digital task cards to keep them engaged 📱

I’m loooking forward to the future days where I’ll be able to see the excitement on their faces when I announce it’s time for a classroom scavenger hunt.

Teaching this school year has been challenging. 🙃

That’s for sure.

So many factors to contribute to the challenging school year like: Implementing new programs during an already abnormal school year, learning how to teach via google meet and in person, learning how to use technology in so many new ways, learning to get comfortable teaching with a mask on, and learning a whole new level of grace and patience... just to name a few. 😉

I’ve been teaching hybrid in person since September with some students in person and some students virtual... at the same time.

Then I had to teach virtually from home for 14 days for quarantine purposes... while some students were in the classroom and some were virtual at their own home.

And then I’ll be back to school tomorrow to teach back in person with my hybrid students.

Who knows what the rest of the school year will look like? 🤷‍♀️

All I can say about this school year so far is that it’s challenging... and yet it’s still rewarding in many ways.

I can honestly say that I have learned SO many new things each and every day.

Like the fact that sometimes the conversations and collaborative discussions with your students in the present moment is often way more important than what’s written down on paper for the structure of the lesson.

Looking forward to collaborative classroom discussions tomorrow

Everyone’s self care looks different.

Yet it’s still so important and so necessary.

It’s important to do things that simply bring you joy.

Today was a slow day.

My self care today included:
•cleaning and organizing 🧹
•reading the Bible and doodling 📖
•painting my nails 💅
•Planning for the week 📋

What does your self care look like? Make sure you bring yourself joy!
